Marlu Station is 112 acres at the foot of Yellow Rock outside Broke, once part of Yellow Rock Estate and now a family-run house and event paddock. The Station House takes eight across four queen bedrooms and three bathrooms, with a fireplace, indoor and outdoor dining and a private ten-metre pool with a spa. The kitchen is fully equipped, down to a Weber barbecue and a wine fridge, and wifi runs over the NBN.
Events run entirely bring-your-own, poured from a bar built into a converted cattle yard, with room to camp or glamp in the paddocks around the house. Five dams, resident kangaroos, ten beehives and a young olive planting fill the rest of the property. It suits a group wanting the place to themselves, about fifteen minutes from the Pokolbin cellar doors and around two and a half hours from Sydney. Both stays and event dates are arranged by phone.
