Established1988

Winmark is a Chardonnay specialist at Broke, working vines first planted in 1988 at Poole's Rock, with the cellar door set in the old wine storage shed rebuilt in 2020 behind floor-to-ceiling glass onto the vineyard. Karin Adcock owns it, and the list stays close to Chardonnay, with a Semillon, Verdelho and a rose alongside.

The $15 tasting runs through five Hunter Chardonnays with estate olives, apricots and almonds, and the fee comes back if you buy three bottles. There is a lot more than wine here: a sculpture park of more than fifty works with a Paul Bangay garden, $15 to enter and redeemable, and an art gallery and boutique that are free to browse. Dogs are welcome on the grounds but not in the gallery, and families get activity packs and lawn to run on. The cellar door opens seven days, 10am to 4pm, and there are guest houses if you want to stay. Allow two to three hours to do the lot.
