Ben Ean is one of the older sites in Pokolbin, established in 1852 as Lindeman's Ben Ean and now run by the McGuigan and Peterson families at 119 McDonald Road. It works as a shared cellar door: a single room pours Penfolds, Petersons, Savannah Estate, Still House, Lisa McGuigan and others, so a visit covers several makers in one stop. Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz sit at the core, with the estate's own range alongside guest labels.

A seated tasting of estate wines is $20 a head. The Still House experience runs at $60, and a 50ml Coravin pour of Penfolds Grange is $65 for those who want to try a wine they would rarely open at home. Restaurant Baume handles food on site, and the grounds are a well-used wedding and function venue, so weekends can be busy. The estate does not publish set cellar-door hours, so confirm times before you drive out.
