Established1865

Glandore sits at the base of the Brokenback Range on Broke Road, on a site first settled in 1865, and it crushes and ferments everything on the property in a 150-tonne winery. The list is unusually wide for the Hunter: alongside Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz there is Vermentino, Fiano, Savagnin, Nebbiolo, Montepulciano, Sangiovese and Tempranillo, drawn from the Hunter, Hilltops and Tumbarumba.

Tastings are hosted one-on-one, and you can add a cheese and charcuterie selection or a chocolate pairing made with Adora Chocolates when you book. Prices are not published, so ask as you arrange it. The cellar door runs a monthly trivia night and stages larger events through the year, a harvest bonfire with live music among them, and dogs are welcome. If the Hunter classics are starting to blur together, this is a good place to taste something you will not have had before.
