Elliotts at Oakvale

Elliotts at Oakvale sits within the grounds of the Oakvale winery on Broke Road, with tables looking out over the vineyard toward the Brokenback Range. The day runs from coffee and breakfast at 8am through lunch and on into afternoon sweets and wine at sunset. The grazing boards are built from Hunter produce: cheeses, small meats, antipasto, fruit and nuts.

It opens 8am to 4pm daily except Wednesday, with Friday and Saturday extended to 5pm, and no booking is needed, so it works as a first stop before the cellar doors open or a wind-down after. Dogs are welcome at the tables, which makes it an easy stop for anyone touring with one. Sitting inside a working winery, it suits a relaxed grazing lunch or a coffee break between tastings rather than a set-menu dinner.
