Cafe Enzo has been trading in the Tuscan-styled Peppers Creek Village, at the corner of Broke and Ekerts Roads, since 1996, and the courtyard is what people come back for. Breakfast runs from 8am and lunch from noon, seven days, on a menu built around local produce: Binnorie feta, Berkshire ham off the bone, Brookfarm muesli. There are kids' menus at both services.
Tables are capped at six people per booking and are not split for larger groups, so a big party needs to plan around that. A surcharge of 10 per cent applies on Saturday and Sunday, and 15 per cent on public holidays. The same site runs Enzo Weddings and Enzo Cottage, a hand-carved stone residence in Pokolbin, so it doubles as a function and stay address as well as a cafe. Walk-ins are taken and no booking is required.
