Tulloch traces its Pokolbin roots to 1895 and has made its Pokolbin Dry Red Shiraz since 1952, with Semillon, Chardonnay, Verdelho and Cabernet rounding out the range. The cellar door on De Beyers Road gives you a few ways to taste: the bar for a quick run through the wines, a room with a fireplace, a balcony over the vines, and the 1895 Members Lounge for wine club members. Prices are not listed on the website and sit inside the online booking system, so check them as you book.
The Chocolate and Wine Tasting is the one most people book, and Hunter Heroes pairs Hunter classics with local cheese and charcuterie. This is a genuinely family-friendly stop: the Junior Experience matches four drinks with four nut-free snacks, and there is a kombucha tasting for teenagers, both add-ons to any booking. Everyone in the party, children and non-drinkers included, needs to be on the booking, and groups are by appointment. The cellar door opens seven days, 10am to 5pm, and has mobility parking with level access.
