River Flats Estate is an olive grove on Wollombi Road at Broke, about twenty minutes from Pokolbin, with a small farm shop at the front of the property. The shelves hold the estate's own olive oils, vinegars and chutneys alongside Bare Nature'sKin soaps and creams made on site from olive oil, goats milk and essential oils. The back deck looks over the grove, and there are goats and pigs to meet.
Three self-contained places to stay sit further into the property: Carinya Homestead, Tara Cottage and Roviana Cottage, booked by reservation request through the website. The working farm and the animals make it an easy pick for families. The farm shop is open Thursday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm, and every day through the school holidays, or by appointment otherwise.
