Broke Estate is fourteen acres of vines on the alluvial soils of the Wollombi Brook at Broke. First planted in 1989 and later left abandoned, the block was replanted by the Tolson family from 2002. There is no cellar door: the wine is sold through the estate's own site and at pop-up events, so what you come to stay for is the bed rather than a tasting.
The Cottage is a two-bedroom home built in 1890 and brought up to modern comfort, which suits a couple or a small family after a quiet base. Since 2022 there are also bell tents with a private amenities pod for anyone who would rather sleep under canvas. The estate hosts events through the year, and the cellar doors and restaurants of the Broke Fordwich trail are a short drive.
