Starline Alpacas is a working alpaca farm on Milbrodale Road at Broke, between Cessnock and Singleton, with the Brokenback ranges on one side and Yengo-Wollemi National Park on the other. A day visit lets you into the paddocks to meet and hand-feed the herd, at $15 for an adult and $10 for a child aged five to fifteen, with a family pass at $45. Tickets come from the office rather than a booking system, and it runs every day of the year but Christmas Day.

Nine self-contained cottages and suites spread across the property, several with dam or mountain views and two set up for wheelchair access, sharing a saltwater pool, tennis court, playground and barbecue. E-bike hire and an EV charger are on site, which makes it a workable base for riding the Broke Fordwich cellar doors. Day visitors and overnight guests both suit families, with the adults-only Stockyard Suites the exception.

    Entry into the alpaca paddocks with hands-on feeding, and time to walk the designated paddocks at your own pace

    $15 adult, $12 concession, $10 child aged 5 to 15, $18 disability entry including food, $45 family pass for two adults and two children with a bag of food, $9 per school group student. A bag of feed on its own is $5.
