Hunter Lavender Farm sits on Adams Peak Road at Broke, planted by Marianne and JR after a honeymoon in Provence, and it is the first lavender farm in the Hunter. It opens for one season a year rather than year round, so timing is the whole trick: the fifth season runs daily from 5 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Outside that window the farm is shut, so check the dates before you plan a visit around it.
Beyond walking the rows there are guided beehive sessions where you harvest raw honey, a yoga class among the plants, dried-flower arranging and a farm photographer on hand, most of them booked ahead. It is a family-friendly stop that works best folded into a Broke Fordwich day in that short summer window. A farm shop and cafe are planned but not yet built.
