Monkey Place Country Estate

Monkey Place is a four-bedroom sandstone house on six acres at Broke, set among native and rose gardens and booked as a whole house through Unwind Hunter Valley. Two bathrooms serve the four bedrooms, and the layout is built for groups of eight to fourteen. A large fully equipped kitchen and a sandstone fireplace sit at the centre of the house, with air conditioning, wifi and a laundry for longer stays.

Large covered verandahs run off the living areas, and the grounds hold a swimming pool and a gas-heated outdoor spa. It suits a group after a self-contained country base near the Broke and Hermitage Road cellar doors, with room to spread out that smaller Hunter stays cannot match. A minimum three-night stay applies over long weekends and holidays, arranged when you book with the manager.
