Restaurant Cuvee is the dining room at Peterson House, a dedicated sparkling wine house on Broke Road at Pokolbin, with vineyard views through its windows. The kitchen builds a seasonal menu around local produce and matches it to the house sparkling. Next door, the Peterson House cellar door pours more than thirty sparkling wines, with tastings from 10am to 5pm daily. It is one of the few Hunter kitchens open for breakfast as well as lunch.
Service runs seven days a week, from the morning through the middle of the day. That makes it a natural first stop to open a wine day before the cellar doors get busy. Walk-ins are taken when there is room, though booking ahead is the safer bet on weekends. The vineyard setting and the sparkling next door suit a leisurely breakfast or a long lunch to start a day out.
