Twine Restaurant

Twine is the restaurant at Wynwood Estate on Oakey Creek Road in Pokolbin, a modern, spacious dining room that looks over the rolling vineyards and spills onto a deck bordered by roses. The kitchen builds a changing modern Australian menu around Hunter Valley produce and pours the region's wines. Seafood features strongly, from oysters done several ways to chilli mud crab, and on Sundays the restaurant runs an alfresco feast of meats slow-roasted over a wood fire. It is family-friendly and set up for groups as well as couples.

Lunch is served Wednesday to Sunday from 11.30am, with dinner added on Friday and Saturday nights, and the restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesday. There is a private dining room seating up to twenty, or thirty-five for a more casual sitting, so it handles a long weekend lunch, a celebration or a larger booking. Given the vineyard setting, it also doubles as a wedding and events venue. Bookings are required, so reserve before you go.
