Worn Out Wares has traded on George Street in Singleton since 2004, run by Louise Christensen and her three daughters, with Louise's parents still in the building tending the plants and fixing what breaks. Breakfast and lunch run six days a week off a seasonal menu built on produce grown around Singleton, with coffee roasted by Glee. It opens Monday to Friday from 7am and Saturday from 8am, closing mid-afternoon.
The rest of the historic building is a florist and a homewares store of new and vintage pieces, and high tea is served among the flowers Monday to Saturday on vintage china, booked separately. Floral and creative art workshops run through the year. Sitting in Singleton at the northern end of the region, it suits a stop on the way in or out rather than a day among the vineyards, and no booking is needed for the cafe itself.
