Broke in the Vines is a six-bedroom farmhouse on a working ten-acre vineyard on the banks of the Wollombi Brook, let whole to one group of up to twelve. Inside are two large living areas, a dining table that seats eighteen and a games room with a billiard table and wet bar. Four bathrooms serve the six bedrooms, two of them ensuites and one with a spa bath.

Outside, a covered entertaining area with a barbecue and a fire pit looks across the vines to the ranges, and depending on the season you may see pruning or harvest happening around you. Rates are set for up to eight guests, with a per-person charge above that, which makes it a group or extended-family booking rather than a couple's escape. Dogs are welcome, there is parking for six cars, and Margan is a few minutes away with the rest of the Broke Fordwich cellar doors a short drive.
