Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort is a large golf resort at Pokolbin, about two hours north of Sydney. Its accommodation is self-contained one, two and three-bedroom villas, each with a full kitchen, living area, fireplace, laundry and a private balcony. An eighteen-hole championship course runs through the grounds, and it is the reason a good number of guests book in the first place. Air conditioning and wifi run throughout, and there is disabled access across the site.

The Oak and Vine restaurant serves seasonal produce with estate views, and there are several swimming pools, a tennis court and a gym across the property. Reception is staffed around the clock, with check-in from 2pm and check-out by 10am. A wellness retreat sits a short stroll away, with spa treatments for a slower day off the course. The scale suits families and groups after a full resort rather than a small cellar-door stay, with the golf and the pools as much of the draw as the wine.
