Spicers Vineyards Estate is twelve suites on eight acres of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines on Hermitage Road at Pokolbin, looking out to the Brokenback Range. French doors open from every room onto a verandah or courtyard, the Spa Suites add bluestone fireplaces and separate living areas, and Vineyards House has its own kitchen and pool. Reception is open daily from 8am to 6pm.
Restaurant Botanica is the centre of the property, open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday and dinner Wednesday to Sunday, cooking modern Australian with a French influence. Spa Anise runs two treatment rooms with private courtyards, Wednesday to Sunday, and reception will book you a sunrise balloon flight, a driven wine tour or an e-bike. With the restaurant, the spa and dog-friendly rooms, it suits a couples' weekend or a small group as much as a single night.
