4 Pines At The Farm

4 Pines At The Farm is a 600 square metre tap room, bistro and cellar door on the corner of Hermitage Road and Mistletoe Lane at Pokolbin, beside the Hunter Valley Resort. Twelve taps pour the 4 Pines range, with Hunter Valley wine by the glass alongside for anyone in the group who would rather drink local. The room is built around its outlook, with 360-degree views over the surrounding vineyards and a lake, so the seat you take matters. Order a paddle of the core range to work across the beers before settling on a glass.

The kitchen, Barrel Bistro, runs pizzas, burgers and share plates at around $20 to $40 a head. It opens at 7.30am for breakfast and keeps pouring through to 8pm, one of the few Pokolbin rooms that will feed you first thing and still be going at dinner. Tables can be booked online and walk-ins are welcome. Parking is on site, there is function space for larger groups, and the family-friendly setup makes it a straightforward stop to bring children to.
