Established2011

Pokolbin Cider House started in 2011, making a Classic Draught Apple and a Raspberry Cranberry cider for Peterson House, and it has put a winemaker's slant on cider ever since. The range now covers the Classic, Sweet and Spicy apple ciders, an Apple and Raspberry, a Pear Perry, a Passionfruit Perry and The Dark Grape, along with a bottle-fermented Vintage that ferments a second time like a sparkling wine. The tasting paddle is the reason to stop, working across that range at the bar. There is a juice paddle as well, for designated drivers and children, so nobody in the group has to sit it out.

Since 2016 the cellar door has run from Lambloch Estate on Broke Road, and it puts on live music and barbecue events through the year, which makes it as much an afternoon stop as a quick tasting. The paddle price is not published on the venue's own site, so ask at the bar. No opening hours are published anywhere either, so phone ahead on the day before you make the trip.
