Established1985

Bob and Maryanne McLeish planted Semillon and Chardonnay on DeBeyers Road in 1985 and opened the cellar door ten years later, and the estate is still family owned. Semillon is the wine to come for: it has carried the estate's reputation through four decades of show results, with Chardonnay, Shiraz and the Bordeaux reds alongside.

Two seated tastings are offered, the Vineyard Range and the Wines of Distinction, and you can add small plates or a regional produce platter for two. Prices are not published on the site and both tastings are booked online, so check as you go. The cellar door opens seven days, 10am to 5pm, and groups of twenty or more need to arrange it in advance. It is an unshowy, wine-first stop, the kind that suits people who came for the Semillon rather than the scene.
