Latitude 32 is Amy Blackburn's label, and the vineyard sits framed by the Brokenback range under a focus on regenerative farming, certified with Sustainable Winegrowing Australia. The list is broad for the Hunter, taking in Grenache, Pinot Noir and Sangiovese alongside the Semillon, Chardonnay and Shiraz.
The standout is Breakfast in the Vines, a $65 morning picnic among heritage plantings with a glass of sparkling, which is a different way into a cellar door than the usual bar. There are also cheese and dumpling pairings with the wines, run under the iHop name, and members get a private room at the cellar door. It opens Wednesday to Monday, and bookings are worth making for the experiences. If you want to start a wine day with something other than a 10am tasting, this is the place to plan it around.
