RidgeView is a family operation on Sweetwater Road, run by Darren and Tracey Scott across 32 acres with a lake, a waterfall, boardwalks and a gazebo out over the water. The range is broad for the Hunter, taking in Sangiovese, Chambourcin and Viognier alongside the Semillon, Shiraz and Chardonnay.

Tastings are informal and $10, taken on the deck looking down at the vines the wine came from, with the Liquid Lounge kept for members and their guests. Harvest @ RidgeView serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a proper kids menu and vegan and vegetarian options, and bar snacks run in the cellar door all day. The cellar door opens Thursday to Sunday, though the restaurant keeps longer hours on Friday and Saturday. Four cottages spread around the lake sleep twelve between them, two built for a single couple with a spa bath, sauna and private jacuzzi, so it works as a base as much as a stop.
