Tempus Two

Tempus Two is a large modern pavilion in the Roche Estate precinct on Broke Road, one of the most central and recognisable stops in Pokolbin. The tasting bar runs across a wide house range, from Semillon and Pinot Gris to Shiraz and alternative reds like Tempranillo and Grenache, and there is a gin range poured alongside. A standard tasting is $5 for six wines and takes about 45 minutes, with a Copper bar experience and a sashimi pairing there if you want to go further. It opens seven days, ten to five, closed Good Friday and Christmas Day.

The precinct is the valley's best-known events site, with big outdoor concerts through summer and food on the grounds, including the Smelly Cheese Shop next door, so it works as a midday anchor with lunch built in. Walk-ins are welcome, though booking ahead saves a wait on busy weekends. It sits on the local wine shuttle route, which is the easy way to include it if no one wants to drive.
